get to know us

Originally from the UK, we've raised our family overseas, living and serving in various parts of sub-Saharan Africa alongside multicultural teams and people of all ages and backgrounds. We now make our home in southern Spain, where we continue to walk alongside others in ministry from a place of rootedness and hospitality. As accredited spiritual directors with master's degrees in Christian Formation and Leadership, we have trained others in dozens of locations across more than 30 countries. With nearly three decades of experience in the field of multicultural ministry, we offer process-oriented training in Christian formation, leadership and personal development, especially in group contexts.

That's the official story ...

The unofficial story takes into account the highs and lows of several cross-cultural transitions, the very real joys and challenges of parenting two girls in different cultures, and the winding path of spiritual formation framed by these experiences. This has given us a passion for supporting people on their own inner journeys.

parents, creatives, adventurers

We live by the adage that 'everything is spiritual.’ In other words, everything has something to teach or reveal to us, and God is real to us in every aspect of life. We live for the life-enhancing quality of well-chosen adventures as much as for the ordinary work of raising daughters, which has trained us in the deep inner work of true transformation.

Our Work

Christian cross-cultural workers come to Place of Springs to receive guidance, support, rest and retreat. Tim and I are certified and trauma-informed debriefers and spiritual directors. We offer guided debrief experiences, spiritual retreats and coaching support for those taking sabbatical or in transition. This expert accompaniment is designed to foster longevity among Christian workers in the Muslim world. Longevity of service is proven to increase the effectiveness of their work by enhancing cultural integration and relational connections.
